Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is teaming up with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams once again to bring back the holiday favorite Boozy Eggnog Ice Cream. Last year, the two female-led brands came together to reimagine Jeni’s Boozy Eggnog Ice Cream, creating a pint steeped in history and tradition, and the beloved flavor is making a triumphant return this holiday season as part of Jeni’s new “Splendid Holiday” collection, it says. But the good cheer doesn't stop there — the two brands also are gearing up to launch an exciting new sorbet flavor featuring the award-winning spirit. Once the holidays are over and the long winter sets in, Jeni’s and Uncle Nearest will launch a brand-new seasonal flavor: Hot Toddy Sorbet, available in January, the company says. Inspired by the soothing drink Jeni’s grandmother used to make, Hot Toddy packs a very bold flavor, with a kick of cayenne, ginger and orange, followed by a subtle throat-coating warmth from Uncle Nearest’s 1884 Small Batch Whiskey, it adds. Boozy Eggnog Ice Cream now is available for online ordering at Jenis.com and Jeni’s scoop shops nationwide, followed by Hot Toddy Sorbet in January.

Planning holiday gatherings gets consumers thinking about what they’ll be drinking.

As such, NCSolutions took a look back at Q4 2022 to see how the top spirits and mixers for the season ranked based on its exclusive consumer purchase data.

For instance, the Top 5 spirits for the season, ranked in order by average units per household in Q4 2022, are vodka, whiskey, tequila, rum and gin, respectively, according to NCSolutions. And, among the Top 5 mixers Tom Collins ranked No. 1, followed by Margarita, martini, Bloody Mary and whiskey sour mixers.

“As for non-alcohol drinks, apple cider is a big winner in the cooler months, with the number of households purchasing this beverage from September through December tripling those that purchased it from January through August,” the company says. “Soft drinks also sold 10% more in December than they did at the beginning of the year in February.”

Blue Moon Brewing Co. introduced two signature holiday seasonings inspired by the brand’s iconic Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale. Both seasonings are crafted to capture the bright essence of Blue Moon, creating a sweet and savory balance, it says. Sold together in a two-pack, the Blue Moon Zesty Seasoning features savory notes of coriander, zesty bursts of citrus saltiness, and a subtle hint of hops, the company says. Meanwhile, Blue Moon Pie Pint Seasoning captures the refreshing and sweet notes of Blue Moon, with bursting hints of orange citrus and coriander, it adds. In addition to the limited-edition seasonings, Blue Moon announced its bringing back its beloved Pie Pints from 2022. This year, Blue Moon partnered with Austin-based Tiny Pies to create four new Pie Pints flavors: Zesty Pumpkin Spice Pie, Tangy Citrus Apple Twist Pie, Key Lime Coconut Crumble Pie and Chocolate Citrus Haze Pie. For a limited time, consumers ages 21 and older can purchase both Blue Moon Seasonings and Blue Moon Pie Pints by Tiny Pies by visiting BlueMoonSeasonings.com, and TinyPies.com, available while supplies last.
