Michigan’s largest craft brewery, Bell’s Brewery, announced the next evolution of its portfolio: Lager for the Lakes. The crisp, clean beer has little in common with its predecessor, Lager of the Lakes, it says. Along with the launch of this new brew, Bell’s is supporting Alliance for the Great Lakes, it notes. The alliance is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that works around the region “to protect the fresh, clean and natural waters of the Great Lakes,” the company says. Bell’s is encouraging consumers to join them in the effort by participating in the alliance’s Adopt-A-Beach program. The pair will host two beach clean-up events this summer, which will be announced on the Alliance for the Great Lakes and Bell’s Brewery websites. “For the name, we added exactly one letter. But behind that small change is an entirely new beer we think will fill our summertime memories for years to come — as well as a far deeper story around protecting the lakes that give us so much,” said Carrie Yunker, Bell’s executive vice president, in a statement. “Bell’s has made major investments in clean water initiatives for years, but we still face big threats to human health, millions of jobs and future generations’ ability to enjoy these vital resources. So consider this our highly drinkable invitation to Bell’s fans: Join us in taking action to protect the Great Lakes at the heart of this great place we call home.”

21SEEDS Infused Tequila and Birdies, both female founded brands, unveiled the limited-edition Top-Shelf Sneaker Collection. The collection “embodies the brands’ shared entrepreneurial spirit and missions — celebrating the everyday boss, whether she is running her own business, taking care of her friends and family, or tackling any challenge that comes her way,” the companies say. The design is a reimagining of Birdies’ 2022 Roadrunner style. Inside of the sneakers, the woven blanket design featured on every bottle of 21SEEDS “serves as a reminder to gather your friends and savor shared moments,” they note. Available in three colors, the shoes take inspiration from the 21SEEDS Infused Tequila range: Jalapeño (Cucumber Jalapeño), Hibiscus (Grapefruit Hibiscus) and Valencia (Valencia Orange). “Bianca and I have been friends for many years and have championed each other in our entrepreneurial journeys of building 21SEEDS and Birdies. This collaboration celebrates hard working women in the many hats they wear each and every day,” said Kat Hantas, co-founder of 21SEEDS Infused Tequila, in a statement. “By joining forces, 21SEEDS and Birdies hope to inspire women around the world to realize their potential and pursue their dreams.” The 21SEEDS x Birdies Top Shelf Sneakers are available while supplies last in-stores and online at Birdies.com.

SKYY Vodka vows to protect the ocean through new partnership

SKYY Vodka recently announced a multi-year partnership with The Ocean Foundation (TOF). TOF is dedicated to reversing the trend of ocean discussion, and works to identify trends and anticipate which issues related to ocean health and sustainability require urgent action. The partnership stemmed from both organizations’ belief “that water matters, will help drive awareness, education and action toward helping to conserve and restore the planet’s waterways,” the company says. SKYY will provide a donation to the new “For the Blue Fund” with TOF, as well as furthering the organization of beach cleanups, educational workshops and events alongside TOF.

“We are thrilled to partner with an organization as committed to environmental conservation and sustainability as The Ocean Foundation, and look forward to helping support their ongoing initiatives to make our oceans and our planet a better place for years to come,” said Sean Yelle, Campari senior category marketing director, in a statement. Mark J. Spalding, TOF president, added: “We are thrilled to join SKYY in our new multi-year partnership to help conserve our planet’s waterways and protect our environment. For over 20 years, The Ocean Foundation has strived to bridge a philanthropy gap to support the communities that need this funding for marine science and conservation the most. As the only community foundation for the ocean, The Ocean Foundation raises every dollar we spend and we appreciate the support of corporate sponsors like SKYY to help us change the future of the ocean together.”

Rockstar Energy Drink joins forces with mobile game

Rockstar Energy Drink is taking its “Fuel What’s Next” campaign to the next level and into the virtual world with PUBG MOBILE. The partnership between the mobile game and Rockstar will feature Angus Cloud, one of Rockstar’s brand partners. Cloud will be at the center of the gaming world with his own in-game skin in PUBG MOBILE, the company says. “I grew up playing video games with my friends and always thought it’d be cool to be in one, so it’s beyond crazy to me that Rockstar Energy and PUBG MOBILE actually made that dream come true,” Cloud said in a statement. “You know, I just hope that people out there playing with my skin see it as an inspiration that anything is possible if you follow your passions and continue to push the limits.” Anthony Crouts, senior director of marketing for PUBG MOBILE, added: “It’s exciting whenever we have the opportunity to partner with an immensely popular celebrity who connects with our players in PUBG MOBILE, so when Rockstar Energy approached us with the idea to bring Angus Cloud into the world of PUBG MOBILE, we felt it was a perfect fit.” Over the course of four weeks, PUBG MOBILE players had the opportunity to compete in the “What’s Next In-Game Challenge,” unlocking in-game rewards and exclusive Rockstar-inspired items. The first winner in the United States received a grand prize of a Rockstar Energy Polaris Slingshot.
