Genesee Cran Orange Kellerbier, Oktoberfest
Genesee announced the return of two specialty beers: Cran Orange Kellerbier and Oktoberfest. Genesee Oktoberfest is a recipe inspired by centuries of brewing and Genesee’s proud German heritage, the company notes. Oktoberfest is a deep-golden lager, big on malt flavor and complemented by subtle herbal notes of noble hops, it says. Kellerbier literally means “cellar beer” because it referred to any beer being aged under the brewery and served straight from the lagering vessel, it notes. First introduced in 2021, Genesee Cran Orange Kellerbier is brewed with both Genesee’s German heritage and the beer’s history in mind, but with a modern twist; the addition of natural cranberry and orange flavors, the company says. The result is a bright lager with an addition of cranberry and orange flavors to complement a light malt body, it adds. Both beers are available to purchase in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Vermont, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.

Mr. Pickles Pacific Northwest Gin
Wolf Spirit announced the launch of Mr. Pickles Pacific Northwest Gin. Named for Master Distiller Ben Green’s pit bull rescue pup, Mr. Pickles, the gin is a smooth, premium international style gin that reflects the personality of the distillery’s gregarious mascot and Oregon’s majestic mountains, it says. “We created this gin to honor Mr. Pickles for his loyalty, friendship, and undying love for everyone at Wolf Spirit,” Green said in a statement. “Mr. Pickles may appear intimidating, but he is truly a warm, welcoming spirit filled with unbridled joy and I think we have done a great job in capturing that in our first gin.” Mr. Pickles Gin opens with juicy citrus and sweet, bright herbal notes, with a slight undernote of black pepper, the company says. Soft woodland notes accompany the more traditional, aromatic pine and spice, grounded in an earthy, herbaceous base, it adds. The finish is long and smooth, allowing the flavors to continue to reveal themselves long after the gin leaves the palate, it notes. Packaged in 750-ml bottles, the 43% ABV Mr. Pickles can be purchased for a suggested retail price of $34.99 a bottle at retailers across the United States and on the company’s website.
