Raymond debuts three new heavy-duty stackers
The Raymond Corp. is advancing warehouse efficiency with the launch of three new lithium-ion-powered heavy-duty stackers. The 6310 Walkie Straddle Stacker, 6410 Walkie Reach Stacker and 6510 Walkie Counterbalanced Stacker aim to optimize throughput and storage space. The new electric walkie models increase efficiency with ergonomic design and flexible pallet moving, the company says. The stackers offer smarter fleet management, enhanced maneuverability in tight spaces and a lower cost per move than traditional stand-up counterbalanced forklifts, it adds. They are powered by lithium-ion batteries and equipped with optional technology in the iWAREHOUSE Intelligence Warehouse Solutions suite. The stackers were built for performance and deliver improved productivity across demanding applications. “Today’s warehouses demand exceptional intelligence, flexibility and efficiency,” said Chad Kritzman, product manager for Class III at The Raymond Corp., in a statement. “Pairing these new electric stackers with our iWAREHOUSE Telematics allows businesses to keep up with changing demands while ensuring their people and fleet are driving productivity. It’s just one of the ways we help keep industries moving forward.” Key features include lithium-ion PSI, PSL, power assist steering, sideshift carriage as well as the iWAREHOUSE capabilities. “Operators need more control, tighter turning and greater power in confined spaces,” Kritzman added. “The new stackers reflect the feedback we have received and built upon the need for smarter energy systems and operator-centric designs. These stackers make every move count.”

ABB Robotics, Regal Rexnord collaborate for integration of cobot 7th axes
Regal Rexnord Corp. joined forces with automation leader ABB Robotics to simplify integration of its GoFa cobots into 7th Axis Cobot Transfer Units (CTUs). The CTUs come from Thomson, one of Regal Rexnord’s leading linear motions brands. The collaboration makes the Thomson Movotrak CTU the first cobot 7th axis technology that ABB Robotics has certified for use in its partner ecosystem. “Until now, anyone wanting to use a single, plug-and-play ABB cobot on multiple workstations faced what could be days of programming and communications challenges,” said Kevin Zaba, executive vice president and president of automation and motion control segment of Regal Rexnord, in a statement. “As part of the ABB Robotics partner ecosystem, we have preconfigured our Movotrak CTU, ensuring rapid deployment with ABB cobots right out of the box. Integrators, distributors and end-users can now invest more time using the 7th axis to solve productivity problems than dealing with complex integration details.” The Thomson Movotrak CTU 7th Axis offers a variety of benefits, including extended operating range, flexible mounting options, collision detection, increased productivity and single-source, fully integrated solutions. “This collaboration with ABB Robotics is a great example of how our differentiated Regal Rexnord technologies can be integrated into high-impact, customer-ready solutions,” said Louis Pinkham, CEO of Regal Rexnord, in a statement. “By combining the technical expertise of our Thomson, Kollmorgen, Boston Gear and Huco brands into a seamless, 7th axis system available for the ABB Robotics partner ecosystem, we’re making it easier for customers to unlock greater productivity and flexibility in their automation strategies. It also reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering value through system-level thinking.”

Ziemann Holvrieka’s Elixr removes alcohol through membrane technology
Germany-based Ziemann Holvrieka has introduced Elixr, a solution for the dealcoholizing of beer based on membrane technology. As worldwide demand for alcohol-free beers grow, Ziemann Holvrieka supports its customers with customized solutions for the production of non-alcoholic beer — regardless of the production process, the company says. Elixr is Ziemann’s “economical and reliable solution” for removing alcohol by means of membrane technology. The system is based on reverse osmosis and permits a reduction of the alcohol content to less than 0.05% by volume, while also retaining the aromas and ingredients that characterize high-quality beer, the company notes. The Elixr line includes standardized equipment for the most common batch sizes, while continuous systems can also be provided in addition to batch processes. The systems ensure effective retention of volatile aroma components by using highly selective membranes, the company says. Thanks to their compact configuration, they can be integrated into existing production environments without taking up a lot of space, it adds. The standardized design also facilitates rapid processing. Ziemann Holvrieka collaborated with the Dutch membrane specialist Wafilin Systems to develop and implement Elixr, combining Wafilin’s decades-long expertise in sustained membrane technology with Ziemann’s broad knowledge in the brewing industry to provide highly effective, integrated solutions from a single source, it notes.
