September was National Honey Month, and to celebrate, the National Honey Board launched Honey Saves Hives, an educational program to bring awareness to the importance of honey bees. The Honey Board notes that honey bees, aside from producing the all-natural sweetener, also are responsible for one-third of the foods we eat, pollinating more than 90 crops, including foods like fruits, nuts, vegetables and seeds, it explains. The board has partnered with various beverage and food brands as part of the Honey Saves Hives program, working with brands that are dedicated to protecting honey bees and educating consumers on the ways we can help the honey bee population, and thus, our broader ecosystem, it says. Partners of Honey Saves Hives will actively share education tips to help honey bees across various channels, it adds. The program also encourages consumers to participate by purchasing honey and made-with-honey products. “The National Honey Board is proud of our ongoing commitment to bee health research,” Margaret Lombard, the board’s CEO, said in a statement. “Along with our partner, Project Apis m., we have donated more than $4 million to honey bee research to help ensure the future health and wellbeing of honey bees.”

Loyal 9 Cocktails announced its partnership with late-night talk show host and comedian Ziwe Fumudoh.  Loyal 9 Cocktails launched nationally this past year, and the brand’s first-ever national campaign with Fumudoh aims to exemplify Loyal 9’s flavor profile, which is all about realness, it says. “Keeping it real is definitely the way to go,” Fumudoh said in a statement. “I famously love real lemons and Loyal 9’s commitment to vodka lemonade without carbonation.” The campaign asks consumers if they prefer real sunsets or scrolling through photos of sunsets. And Fumudoh asks “What’s your take on the word ‘fizz’?” Using Fumudoh’s keeping-it-real humor, the campaign is set to air across digital and social media platforms. “Loyal 9 cocktails are made for people who aren’t’ shy about what they like, and they love their lemonades bold and flavorful,” Nikhil Shah, Loyal 9’s brand director, said in a statement. “Working with Ziwe allows us to put that boldness on full display in playful, yet provocative ways while showcasing ingredients going into our beverages. For Loyal 9, it’s always about real vodka and real lemons.”

To keep up with consumer demand for experiences that are social media-worthy, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards provided guests with the most “Instagrammable” visit possible. Last month, the winery launched its Instagram Approved Package, which included 30-minute glam, a 30-minute photo session and a wine country lunch for up to four guests. A professional photographer captured “ready-to-post photos” on personal smartphones, “to make it easier to upload to guests’ personal IG accounts,” the winery said in a statement. The photographer already scouted out the “IG-approved Photo Spots” throughout the winery and vineyard, it added. St. Francis cares for more than 400 acres of Certified Sustainable Vineyards between Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley, and the Instagram Approved Package showcases “one of the world’s premier grape-growing regions,” which is “complete with panoramic mountain and vineyard views,” the company said. The Instagram Approved Package was available Sept. 20 and 21 for $100 a person.

Founders Brewing Co. partnered with Black-owned concept art studio 9B to bring its popular 4 Giants IPA to life. The studio, made up of mostly BIPOC artists, was given liberty to “interpret each of the four giants based on names and personalities,” the brewing company says. Founders Brewing launched 4 Giants in 2019 after combining four fan-favorite IPA recipes into one imperial IPA. The packaging features four characters to represent the four recipes that went into creating 4 Giants. The newly named characters, Celina, Tenkay, Octave and Dubtrub, were illustrated by 15 of 9B’s artists in celebration of the release of 4 Giants and the Haze of Destiny, Founders’ newest hazy IPA. 9B brings the protectors of the Founders Realm to life, it says. “We picked 9B based on their extremely talented collective and what they stand for as an organization,” said Anthony Corwin, Founders’ digital marketing manager, in a statement. “We knew that their artists could bring the 4 Giants to life in ways we never imagined and would allow us to connect with folks who are passionate about pop culture and art.” Additionally, the brewing company plans to expand the 4 Giants universe with an interactive website, a curated Spotify playlists, a podcast dedicated to character development and an online role-playing game.
