Renewable Lubricants reveals Bio-Dry Slide

Renewable Lubricants recently revealed Bio-Dry Slide, a food-grade, biobased extreme pressure (EP) formulation designed specifically for lubricating sliding surfaces that require a fast dry solid lubricant or release agent. The new lubricant features a unique biodegradable biobased carrier fortified with food grade synthetic white graphite EP, to lubricate and reduce friction equal to or better than PTFE, the company says. The white graphite provides improved lubrication beyond 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, which is an improvement over black graphite, PTFE and molybdenum, which protect 750 degrees Fahrenheit to 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Bio-Dry Slide provides a Coefficient of Friction of 0.08 on sliding surfaces and provides the additional benefits of anti-rust, anti-oxidation and anti-wear protection, making it ideal for molds, fixtures, dies, assembly machines, pipe threads, bolts and more, the company notes. The proven release agent also contains no PFAs, trichlorethylene, perchloroethylene and more, making it safer for the environment and employees using it, it says. Bio-Dry Slide lubricant provides a white lubricating solid film after the biobased carrier dissipates, there is no oily film left to attract dirt, the company adds. Bio-Dry Slide is an environmentally responsible product formulated from renewable agricultural products. Manufactured in Hartville, Ohio, Bio-Dry Slide is available nationwide and online.

Carrier Transicold’s telematics platform receives ‘major update’

Carrier Transicold launched what it calls a “significant update” to its Carrier Lynx Fleet telematics platform. This update provides enhanced insights into transport refrigeration unit (TRU) performance and easier tracking and monitoring of connected vehicles. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corp., a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions. The update delivers powerful new analytics and remote diagnostic capabilities for Carrier Transicold TRUs, the company notes. The update also supports dry van telematics, electric TRUs, the latest sensor technology and API integrations that provide instant access to real-time information, the company says, such as location, temperature and TRU performance within customers’ existing fleet management systems. “The Lynx Fleet platform takes TRU visibility and control to the next level with unprecedented insights and the ability to optimize performance like never before,” said James Brand, senior digital product manager for Lynx Fleet Telematics, in a statement. “It gives fleet managers the data and intelligence they need to make performance-based decisions about operations, maintenance and cold-chain compliance.” The Lynx Fleet platform has new features designed to help fleets improve operational efficiencies and streamline their telematics services, including TRU Health, which helps users manager service activity based on TRU performance, rather than relying on calendar alerts and manual checks, according to the company. Other features of the update include a new telematics module, support for GPS and telematics sensors for dry vans, battery-electric TRUs in mind, and a new API toolkit, which allows data-sharing with most major transportation management systems.
