Top Cup redefines game day with NFL licensed collection
Reusable aluminum cup brand Top Cup is aiming to elevate the fan experience. It announced its first-ever licensed collection with the NFL, with cup designs featuring NFL and team marks. The initial launch from Jan. 8 included officially licensed designs across 15 teams and select NFL and Super Bowl marks. The collection brings sustainability, durability and a premium drinking experience to tailgates, watch parties and stadium experiences nationwide, the brand says. This launch allows fans to connect with their teams through this collectible cup, while also reducing the waste of single-use plastic, it adds. “We have a long-standing commitment to enhancing fan experiences in sports, and we are thrilled to take the next step by bringing NFL licensed products to market,” said David Cuthbert, CEO of Top Cup, in a statement. “This launch aligns perfectly with our ongoing efforts to elevate the fan experience through a premium, high-quality offering. We are confident that NFL fans will be enthusiastic about this product.” Top Cup’s cups are made from 90% recycled aluminum and are designed for reuse and true circularity, the company notes. The brand was established to deliver a truly circular alternative to single-use plastic and designed to function seamlessly within existing recycling systems. From the recycling bin, a Top Cup can return to shelves as a new cup or a can in as little as 60 days, with no loss in quality, the brand says. The new collection with the NFL anchors the brands go-to-market strategy and is launching under the campaign line “Every Team. One Cup,” with the subline “Built Right for Gameday.”

Latest laser coder from Domino meant for high-speed beverage production
Domino Printing Sciences has expanded it laser coding portfolio with the launch of its Dx1060i CO2 Laser Coder. The new 100-watt CO2 laser coder is designed to help beverage manufacturers maintain smooth production while handling more complex coding requirements, Domino says. The coder is engineered for high-speed environments and delivers sharp, durable codes across a range of challenging packaging materials, it adds. GS1-compliant 2D formats and other complex codes require higher power to ensure consistent legibility at speed. This new laser coder’s enhanced performance enables beverage-makers to code as many as 90,000 bottles an hour, maintaining clarity even on reflective or complex surfaces, Domino says. This eliminates the usual trade-offs between speed and code quality that are common with lower-power systems as well. The coder offers more than 50 beam delivery options with a 360-degree rotatable scanhead for seamless integration into existing production lines. The Dx1060i easily connects to back-end production and business systems, which avoids delays that result from integration issues, the company notes. An array of optional services, like Domino Cloud Interface, give operators additional insight and help minimize downtime. “The Dx1060i gives our customers the power and flexibility they need to keep bever production running efficiently,” said Frauke Schroeder, Domino’s senior product manager for laser, in a statement. “It supports evolving international standards, helps reduce waste and is built to meet future regulatory requirements, including GS1 and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.” The new laser coder also suits niche applications, the company notes.

Continental Tire adds size extension to regional drive, steer tires
Premium tire manufacturer Continental Tire Americas announced that its HDR 5 and HSR 5 19.5-inch tires are now available in size 245/70R19.5. The new size extension for both tires is designed to meet the needs of urban and regional fleet operations in environments that are high scrub and where dependable performance in stop-and-go conditions is essential, the company says. The extensions feature several enhancements for both the steer and drive tires, including updated tread compound, which offers improvements in rolling resistance and mileage compared with prior versions of the treads. These updates support fuel efficiency and extended wear life, Continental says. The sidewalls were re-engineered to better support multiple retread cycles and help fleets get more out of each casing, it notes. The redesign also aids in withstanding high scrub environments, making it a reliable choice for urban delivery routes, the company adds. Another enhancement is that the updated tires are electric vehicle (EV) compatible. The new tires now come with an EV checkmark, meaning that the tire meets the special requirements of EV/hybrid vehicles, as well as those of combustion engines. The extensions build on the proven performance of the existing product lines, offering targeted improvements for local delivery operations. They are practical solutions for fleets looking to optimize tire life and manage operating costs in demanding conditions, the company says. The steer and drive tires both have improved mileage from their predecessors as well.
